Campolonghi S.p.A. Chooses the New Generation of Prometec Plants

Campolonghi S.p.A. has been one of the most authoritative companies in the international natural stone industry for more than sixty years. In a production environment increasingly focused on complex materials and the highest quality standards, Campolonghi decided to invest in the modernization of its resin treatment department, once again choosing Prometec as its technological partner.

The goal was to double the production capacity compared to the previous plant, while increasing operational flexibility, aesthetic quality and adaptability to different materials. The new plant integrates traditional impregnation technologies with innovative highly reactive UV epoxy resins, allowing the most suitable process to be selected according to the material and the required finish.

The combination of these two technologies optimizes production cycles, reduces processing times and improves the final product quality while ensuring maximum application versatility. One of the most innovative aspects of the line is the use of UV epoxy technology for the treatment of light-colored and highly absorbent materials, where halo effects along repaired fractures represent one of the main aesthetic challenges. Thanks to the high reactivity of the new-generation resins and the optimized process management, the new plant drastically reduces these effects, achieving more uniform, natural and visually homogeneous surfaces.
