How it works

Slabs are placed inside special technical bags made of materials resistant to high temperatures, chemicals and mechanical stress. After creating the “sandwich” (slab + epoxy adhesive + support or material to be bonded), the bag is sealed and vacuum is applied.

Under these conditions, three fundamental effects are achieved:

• Uniform application of high pressure (up to 10 ton/m²);
• Complete elimination of humidity, the natural enemy of adhesion;
• Progressive removal of any trapped air bubbles.

The vacuum is maintained throughout the curing time (depending on the resin chemistry used), ensuring maximum stability of the finished product.

A patented Prometec technology, already proven in industrial plants, now also available in modular and compact versions for artisan companies and specialized workshops.

MODULARITY AND INVESTMENTS

This technology is already in operation in installed plants. Prometec is now developing more compact and targeted versions to make vacuum bonding accessible also to small businesses and artisan workshops, while maintaining the same industrial-level quality.
