Marmopol Invests in Innovation: The New Production Plant in Burdur with Prometec Technology

Marmopol has taken a significant step toward innovation and production efficiency with the opening of its new plant in Burdur (Gökçebağ/Burdur Merkez/Burdur). Thanks to this new technology, Marmopol can achieve a production capacity of 40 slabs per hour (net + surface), ensuring complete material restoration with maximum efficiency and quality.

Resin Line: Automation and High Production Capacity

Marmopol’s new resin line is fully automated and designed to optimize every stage of processing. The process begins with the automatic retrieval of slabs from block carts coming from gangsaws, thanks to a robot specifically designed for this purpose. Next, the slabs pass through a first set of high-capacity cyclic ovens, ensuring optimal preparation before the polishing phase. After this stage, the slabs enter a second set of cyclic ovens, completing the resin process with the highest level of quality and stability.

Mastic Line: Versatility and Perfect Finishing

Prometec has designed a Mastic Line for Marmopol, allowing highly flexible processing and ensuring a perfect slab finish, regardless of the material used.

This line includes:

• Loading and unloading robots, ensuring safe slab handling;
• An eight-head polisher, for precise and efficient processing;
• IR and UV ovens, guaranteeing optimal material polymerization;
• Intermediate storage, for efficient production flow management;
• An eighteen-head polisher, ensuring a top-quality finish.

Efficiency and Safety in the Production Process

One of the most innovative aspects of Marmopol’s plant is the elimination of any potential issues related to manual slab handling. From the initial loading phase to the end of the process, the slabs are trans- ported using dedicated automated supports, avoiding risks associated with overhead cranes or mobile lifting equipment.
This solution minimizes errors, optimizes workflow, and ensures consistent and repeatable quality for each produced slab.
